Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to receive my piece?

Once we finalize your design, choose materials, and your down payment is received, most pieces take between 2 and 4 months to complete. I build every piece myself—carefully and intentionally—so you receive something truly special.

Why does it take that long?

Because I don’t rush the work. Each project is handcrafted, one at a time, with care and precision. No assembly lines, no shortcuts—just a deep respect for the craft and the client. And since I work on a first-come, first-served basis, each build gets the full attention it deserves.

Can I pay extra to get it faster?

I understand the excitement (and sometimes urgency), but I don’t bump projects ahead. It wouldn’t be fair to other clients who’ve been patiently waiting. If you’re hoping to receive your piece by a special date, let’s talk early and build that into the plan.

Will you ever recreate or resell my design?

No. Each piece is made exclusively for the person it was designed for. While I do retain design rights, I’ll never recreate your piece for someone else. It’s yours—and yours alone.

Do you offer design consultations?

Yes, and they’re one of my favorite parts of the process. Whether in person or over a video call, we’ll talk about your space, needs, and what you want this piece to feel like when you live with it every day.

Can I return the piece once it’s delivered?

Because every piece is custom-built just for you, all sales are final. That said, my goal is for you to be completely in love with what we create—so we’ll work closely upfront to ensure the end result exceeds expectations.

What if I don’t like the final piece?

That’s why we don’t rush the design phase. Once we’ve finalized everything and I start building, you’ll know exactly what’s coming. No surprises—just a piece that feels like it was always meant to be yours.

What if I back out before taking delivery?

If you cancel after we’ve begun building, I keep the piece and the 50% deposit. That deposit covers time, materials, and energy already invested. I may choose to offer the piece for sale to someone else later.

What if my piece gets damaged later on?

Life happens. If your piece is damaged after delivery or during a move, reach out. Depending on the situation, I may be able to help with a repair. That said, I don’t operate a full-time repair shop—my focus remains on building new, meaningful work.

Do you offer repairs or refinishing for furniture you didn’t build?

I don’t. My time and heart are committed to building custom pieces for the clients who trust me with their vision. I’m honored by every request, but I stay focused on creating—not restoring.

Can I commission a matching piece later?

Yes. If you’d like a companion piece in the future, I’d love to discuss what’s possible. Every project is built to last—and if it turns into a collection over time, even better.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. Whenever possible, I personally deliver your piece to make sure it arrives safely and with the care it deserves. If you live further away, I’ll help coordinate a trusted delivery service.

Can I pick it up myself?

Yes, though I recommend careful planning—these aren’t flat-pack items. If you choose to pick up, you’ll be responsible for transport once it leaves my hands.

Do you ship out of state?

In some cases, yes. Let me know where you’re located and I’ll explore the best, safest way to get your piece to you.

Can I supply my own wood or materials?

Typically, no. I use trusted sources that I’ve built relationships with to ensure quality, consistency, and integrity in the final result.

How do I care for my piece?

Every piece comes with personalized care instructions, specific to the materials and finishes we chose. If something ever comes up down the road, I’m always happy to offer guidance.

Do you build cabinets or built-ins?

I focus on standalone furniture—pieces you live with, move with, and pass down. I don’t take on cabinetry, remodeling, or contractor-style work.

How does payment work?

A 50% down payment reserves your place in my build queue. The remaining balance is due before delivery or pickup.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit card, Venmo, or cash. We’ll confirm everything during the agreement phase.

Why does my project cost what it does?

Because it gets my full attention—start to finish. Every piece is designed from scratch, built by hand, and made using the best materials I can source. This isn’t mass-produced furniture. It’s high-end, personal, heirloom-quality work—meant to last a lifetime and justify every penny you’re investing.
